Working Together in Care

Integrating therapy and medication in compassionate, patient-led, evidence-based care.

Good psychiatric care depends on trust, consistency, and collaboration. Weekly sessions provide the continuity and depth needed to make meaningful therapeutic progress while ensuring medications are monitored and adjusted with care. Because I see all patients virtually, treatment remains consistent and accessible, even when personal or professional demands make scheduling difficult.

Making Medication Work for You

Decisions about medication are always led by you. My role is to provide clear information—how medications work, their benefits, and their risks—so you can make choices that feel right for your life and goals.

We may find that a carefully chosen medication provides relief, that simplifying a regimen creates clarity, or that no medication is needed at all. The goal is always the same: treatment that feels safe, effective, and aligned with your growth.

I have extensive experience revising and managing medication regimens for patients who require unique approaches—whether because they have not found relief with standard options or are unable to take them. I am deeply familiar with the use of specialized medications and tailored strategies, always with a focus on safety and effectiveness.

For many, these choices come after past care that didn’t feel like the right fit. Starting over can feel daunting, but it also opens the door to care that works better for you.

Starting Fresh with Care That Fits

In situations where past care wasn’t working for you, I start by listening—understanding what hasn’t felt helpful, what your concerns are, and what you hope for moving forward.

I also see many patients who have tried medications that didn’t work or weren’t well tolerated. In these cases, I share the options and guidance, but the choice of direction is always yours.

Together we may adjust an existing regimen, explore less common but effective alternatives, or thoughtfully taper medications that are no longer serving you. The aim is always the same: a plan that feels safe, manageable, and aligned with your growth.

Above all, I want patients to feel understood and confident in their care, knowing they have an affirming presence they can trust as they move forward.

Working Together in Therapy

Approaches That Fit You

Our work together may draw on one or many of several evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, supportive therapy, and newer therapeutic approaches. Research shows these methods can be effective, but I adapt them so they feel practical and relevant to your life.

For some, therapy focuses on building coping skills; for others, it means exploring relationships, patterns, or self-understanding.

Support for Life’s Challenges

I work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar spectrum conditions, OCD, and related concerns. These often connect to family dynamics, academic or professional pressures, parenting challenges, relationship changes, financial stress, or major life transitions.

I also provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ individuals and younger adults navigating identity, community, or life-stage challenges. Whatever your story, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you build insight, resilience, and self-compassion.

Guidance at Critical Times

I have extensive experience working with individuals facing serious mental illness and other complex personal challenges. At these pivotal moments, therapy can be essential for strengthening resilience, improving functioning, and supporting recovery—often alongside carefully integrated medication treatment.

I also work with those navigating trauma, grief, health concerns, or questions of identity, helping them restore stability and direction. My research has further deepened this expertise, giving me insight into how best to recognize critical inflection points and provide timely, effective care.

Therapy lays the foundation for growth, while medication, when needed, adds stability.
